Filipino Nehemiah Teams: Luzon

Summer 2011: Luzon team members
As we prepare and pray for upcoming Nehemiah Teams for this Summer 2015, let us not forget the work God is doing through the Filipino branch of Nehemiah Teams. This upcoming month of April is an exciting time because almost 200 young Filipino believers will follow Christ into the great unknown to share his message of love to those who do not know Him.  I have recently been encouraged by the willingness for Filipino believers to follow Christ in sharing the gospel with their own people, many times facing financial burden, leaving family and friends, and experiencing language barriers by going to areas with which they are not familiar.

Several teams will be going to the island of Luzon to minister in various provinces including Batangas, Quezon, and Oriental Mindoro. This wide range of southern Luzon includes many people whose lives are centered around idols and superstitious beliefs. It is only the gospel of Jesus Christ that can free them from this bondage of religion! Please pray that The Lord would use these young people to bring freedom to these places.

Pray for:
* those Cebuano people who will soon be hearing the message of the gospel for the first time, that they would have open hearts ready to accept
* for those going to be able to raise financial support for living expenses in southern Luzon
* for travel safety to and from their ministry site
* for many opportunities to share and lead Bible studies while they are on the field
* these teams as they go out, that they would grow in their walk with The Lord and be bold witnesses for Christ

Filipino Nehemiah Teams: Palawan

The remoteness of the Palawan islands adds to the difficulty of sharing the Gospel

There will be several teams going out from the island of Palawan where the people are no doubt, hard to reach. One team will be serving in Agutaya where the people have just recently received the New Testament in their language; however, many of them still need a messenger to come help them understand it. Another team will be ministering to Cousins in Rizal where intermarriage with non-cousins have made people open to hearing the Truth.

Pray for:
* those people of Palawan who will soon be hearing the message of the gospel for the first time, that they would have open hearts ready to accept
* for those going to be able to raise financial support for living expenses on Palawan
* for travel safety to and from their ministry areas
* for many opportunities to share and lead Bible studies while they are on the field
* these teams as they go out, that they would grow in their walk with The Lord and be bold witnesses for Christ

Filipino Nehemiah Teams: Caraga

Caraga summer 2010 members
As we prepare and pray for upcoming Nehemiah Teams for this Summer 2015, let us not forget the work God is doing through the Filipino branch of Nehemiah Teams. This upcoming month of April is an exciting time because almost 200 young Filipino believers will follow Christ into the great unknown to share his message of love to those who do not know Him.  I have recently been encouraged by the willingness for Filipino believers to follow Christ in sharing the gospel with their own people, many times facing financial burden, leaving family and friends, and experiencing language barriers by going to areas with which they are not familiar.

Several teams from the Caraga franchise will be reaching out to people on the northeastern part of the island of Mindanao, specifically in the Agusan River Valley, also on Dinagat island, and among the Kamayo and Higaonon tribes. People of these tribes and in these places put their faith in superstitious beliefs. They need messengers who will share with them the Word of God. Pray for the many young Filipino believers who will go share the gospel with the unreached and hard to reach.

Pray for:
* those people who will soon be hearing the message of the gospel for the first time, that they would have open hearts ready to accept
* for those going to be able to raise financial support for living expenses
* for travel safety to and from the ministry sites
* for many opportunities to share and lead Bible studies while they are on the field
* these teams as they go out, that they would grow in their walk with The Lord and be bold witnesses for Christ

Filipino Nehemiah Teams: Mt. Carmel

As we prepare and pray for upcoming Nehemiah Teams for this Summer 2015, let us not forget the work God is doing through the Filipino branch of Nehemiah Teams. Teams from the Mt. Carmel franchise will be going to various areas on the island of Mindanao which includes a vast range of people groups and religions, many of whom do not know Jesus. They will be evangelizing and holding Bible Studies in homes and villages of those who are desperate to know the Truth. Will you pray for them as they go?

Pray for:
* those on the island of Mindanao who will soon be hearing the message of the gospel for the first time, that they would have open hearts ready to accept

Filipino Nehemiah Teams: Zamboanga

As we prepare and pray for upcoming Nehemiah Teams for this Summer 2015, let us not forget the work God is doing through the Filipino branch of Nehemiah Teams. This upcoming month of April is an exciting time because almost 200 young Filipino believers will follow Christ into the great unknown to share his message of love to those who do not know Him.  I have recently been encouraged by the willingness for Filipino believers to follow Christ in sharing the gospel with their own people, many times facing financial burden, leaving family and friends, and experiencing language barriers by going to areas with which they are not familiar.

Team training
While most Filipino Nehemiah Teams will be ministering to those of Catholic and Animistic beliefs, there are a few teams who will be bringing the Truth to those held in bondage to the second largest religion in the world. We refer to them as "Cousins." Zamboanga is an area with a large population of Cousins who are lost in their religious traditions, having no concept of a God who loves them. Pray for these teams as they share the Truth.

Pray for:
* Maguindanao Cousins who will soon be hearing the message of the gospel for the first time, that they would have open hearts ready to accept
* for those going to be able to raise financial support for living expenses.
* for travel safety to and from
* for many opportunities to share and lead Bible studies while they are on the field
* these teams as they go out, that they would grow in their walk with The Lord and be bold witnesses for Christ

Filipino Nehemiah Teams: Iloilo

2014 Iloilo team ministry
As we prepare and pray for upcoming Nehemiah Teams for this Summer 2015, let us not forget the work God is doing through the Filipino branch of Nehemiah Teams. The month of April is an exciting time because almost 200 young Filipino believers will follow Christ into the great unknown to share his message of love to those who do not know Him.  I have recently been encouraged by the willingness for Filipino believers to follow Christ in sharing the gospel with their own people, many times facing financial burden, leaving family and friends, and experiencing language barriers by going to areas with which they are not familiar.

There will be several teams going to a small town about 45 miles outside of Iloilo city on the island of Panay. This group will be partnering with other believers to share with those who have been held in spiritual darkness for many years, holding to the beliefs of spirit and idol worship. Pray for these followers of Christ as they are faithful to shine their light of the Gospel through evangelism and Bible studies.

Pray for:
* those people in this small village who will soon be hearing the message of the gospel for the first time, that they would have open hearts ready to accept
* for those going to be able to raise financial support for living expenses on Panay Island.
* for travel safety to and from their place of ministry
* for many opportunities to share and lead Bible studies while they are on the field
* these teams as they go out, that they would grow in their walk with The Lord and be bold witnesses for Christ
