Job description: Use your musical skills to teach young people to play guitar, keyboard, flute, drums & percussion. Help local believers develop music teams for worship. Local young people have little to no access in musical training. Offer tutoring for children in the community allowing the local ministry to develop relationships with the families. Team will be working directly with a national pastor.

Local supervisor specifically asks for students who can offer beginning instruction/tutoring in piano, guitar, drums/cajon and voice.

Summer 2021: East African Refugees

Job description: His light, His love & His joy are breaking into the darkness through friendships. Your task is to become community with refugee families who have lived in the Midwest for up to 20 years while maintaining traditional dress, cooking, and folk Islam practices. The children in this neighborhood are the 2nd generation to live in the USA. Few have ever visited Africa. Their English skills are significantly higher quality than that of their parents. They are obedient to traditions out of respect, but their hearts & minds are becoming Western, their souls are confused, conflicted, and could be ripe for harvest. Part of the training will be to learn & understand shame-honor based cultures and use Biblical stories in contact of this mentality. Parents tenaciously hold to tradition, many fathers still follow Islamic law and mothers have horror stories of fleeing Somalia, Ethiopia, and Kenya as well as heart-breaking stories of shame assimilating into Western culture and American school systems, while trying to learn English to survive.

Spend time prayer walking, tutoring children of all ages using academic skills, crafts, sports & cooking. Early evenings involve drinking tea while sharing & listening to stories with the parents, even late-night meals & celebrations. May also be some opportunity to build relationships with international students who are spending the summer on various university campuses in mid-Ohio.

Job description: Be a part of the next wave of Nehemiah Teams obeying the Great Commission. Go from village to village, playing basketball, showing the Jesus film 7 sharing Christ with hundreds while discipling new believers. You will live out of your bag, wash your clothes by hand, and sleep where ever a door is opened. In partnership with a national church planter, you will become a part of Filipino culture, make friends through sports, and make disciples in this very hard place.

Job Description: Have the full Karamajong Bush experience. Join a team of bush missionaries who are willing to go out & do whatever it takes to take the Gospel into some very difficult places & peoples. Learn to use Chronological Bible Storying to evangelize & disciple. Also be involved in a simple organic church. We have the unique opportunity to live among & do life with the people of Karamoja on a daily basis. Some days are difficult, but the great days make the difficult ones worth it.
