Job Description: Are you looking to spend your summer engaging an unreached people group using your giftings and talents as a platform to proclaim the name of Christ to a Muslim people group? Come serve alongside as we engage unreached peoples by transforming a community by using your gifting to help others discover theirs. Use your own heart language to reach a people group who have yet to hear the good news of Jesus. Come teach English and build relationships alongside us for the sake of the Gospel.

Students must commit to the entire program from orientation through debrief. Your first stop will be a joint orientation with other Nehemiah Teams. Learning the skills needed to carry out your assignment as well as team building will fill these first few days. Your team will fly to your final destination for the summer. Following your ministry time you will return to the US for a joint debrief... sharing all God has done over the summer.

June 2  Teams travel to the field
July 27  Teams arrive at debrief
July 29 night/July 30 morning  Students return home

Do you stand out as a follower of Jesus?

"This is a fine line in being a Christian and being a follower of Jesus. You see their are many many Christians out there, more yet, people who say they are, but there are very very few followers of Jesus. So my question to you is, Do you fit in as one of those Christians? or Do you stand out as a follower of Jesus? 

When the villagers ask me if I am Muslim, or a Shaman, or a Christian... I simply tell them I'm a follower of Jesus. Which then leads them to ask the question, How do I follow Christ? not how do I become a Christian?"

Team of the Week: Village Outreach

This job is not for the faint at heart! Join workers in a vast unreached area of villages and wilderness being "salt and light." Your main target people are in a remote area who are steeped in a major world religion and traditional beliefs. Most have never heard the gospel. You will look for creative ways to involve yourselves in the lives of the people through sports, audio-bible, Jesus film showings, campfire chats, praying for the sick and elderly, maybe teaching basic English... whatever it takes to help them hear the Good News.
