Keep Away from Drugs

A Thai evangelist came to stay with us for a week. He and his family travel across the country to do drug prevention seminars at schools. They usually get to share the gospel too! We got to help out and do some games & magic tricks during the presentations. We spoke at 5 schools and we're allowed to share the gospel and show Christian cartoons at 4 of the schools. After listening to the gospel message, a teacher told us she wanted to follow Jesus. We spoke at schools with as many as 600 students... hundreds heard the gospel.
Pray for the seeds that were planted during these opportunities. Pray for the believers that will follow up with the students & teachers that have shown interest in the Gospel.

P.S.  It also funny watching students get to shake a hand for the first time. It's more awkward then you think.

Courage & Perseverance to learn

We reopened our Karamajong Literacy program. Please pray for the 13 students as we meet Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday afternoons. Pray for the Nehemiah Team as they lead alongside our national partners Abraham, Lochoto and Nakong. Pray for the students to have confident courage and perseverance as they learn. May we all grow closer in our walks with Jesus as we journey together.

True Love Waits in Uganda

Guys working on a biblically-based sex education curriculum with our national guys and believers. They will be teaching this is at the local schools beginning next week. This also has naturally led to the discipleship of our guys.
The ladies working on their curriculum for the girls. They had a panel of nationals to help, assist and answer questions and write the curriculum. Our national partners will also assist with the teaching. This has been an eye opening and a amazing cultural experience for the team.

For the students in the classes, pray they will understand the significance of what they are learning and how it affects their daily lives.
As biblical values are shared, pray that the students will begin to understand the role God wants to have in their daily lives.

Aidan & Ruth

Praise be to the Father that HE has allowed multiple opportunities for me to be obedient in sharing the good news. I have been able to share my story, the parable of the lost sheep, creation to Christ, and some verses.

A few days ago, I had the opportunity to talk with my new friend Ruth. I shared with her the full good news in depth along with my story and another story of how God was faithful in my friend’s life. She seemed to be intensely listening but when I finished I asked her what she thought of some things and she just said “that is good for you and your belief” and showed little to no interest in anything I had shared. This was discouraging to me and then I recalled Isaiah 55:11.

So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

God will accomplish what He wills and HIS Word will not return void. Even after sharing and seeing no fruit I can be encouraged to trust that He is working for HIS glory more than I ever could be and I can trust in the promises of HIS Word. My Father is glorified through my obedience to share and it is up to HIM to open eyes and soften hearts.

Please pray for follow up opportunities with those we have shared with. Pray that Ruth would see our God as the way, the truth, and the life. Please pray for my team, that we would not be discouraged but encouraged, and that we would trust deeply in Christ who promises to work all things for HIS glory.

Visit with Team Romania

We are loving getting to spend time with and serve alongside the Nehemiah Teams Romania teams this week! They are doing an awesome job of ministry and God answered big prayers today by sending almost 300 kids to the village outreach this afternoon in a new, nearby village! Pray for NT Romania this summer as they serve here in Bod and the surrounding villages!
