Part of our assignment for the summer is researching various South Pacific Island people groups. Limited information is available about the status of the church in these areas. We've been tasked to research to try to fill in the missing gaps.
We traveled to a new South Pacific island last week. It took a variety of transportation to reach our first people group! We've been staying in their area for the past week. They have many traditional strongholds in steeped in animism & Roman Catholicism. There's also a big language barrier. We did meet a Catholic priest who speaks English. He has helped us with the culture while we were able to encourage him with God's word.
Pray for our travel as we move on to other peoples groups throughout the area.
