Job Description: Ever dreamed of living on a houseboat for the summer? Join this team! Through teaching English classes to children and youth, you will be opening the door for spiritual conversations. Use your love of sports & games to build relationships in the lake community. Conduct prayer "paddle" sessions to saturate the surrounding areas. Be a student of the local culture as you learn basic words and common phrases, allowing you to better understand their world view. Provide local entertainment as you show Christian movies for the surrounding community.
Students must commit to the entire program from orientation through debrief. Your first stop will be a joint orientation with other Nehemiah Teams. Learning the skills needed to carry out your assignment as well as team building will fill these first few days. Your team will fly to your final destination for the summer. Following your ministry time you will return to the US for a joint debrief... sharing all God has done over the summer.
