What kind of mark will you leave??

Our Nehemiah Team girls have left their marks on our ministry and lives. Will you pray for them as they re-enter american life over these next few weeks? Pray the Lord continues to speak to them through their experiences this summer... how will what they've learned redirect their lives??

It's Always Enough

Full homes, Rich discipleship, and Deep worship
These things have marked my time here In Uganda. Walking through extreme darkness to be greeted by six smiling women who genuinely desire to know God’s Word. Sitting in the homes of women who used to sell their bodies so their children could eat. These women smile joyfully because they now have pure, undefiled hope in Christ, who they want to know more about!!
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is always enough. The Word of God is always enough. Let us never shy away from proclaiming the hope that we have In Him and the sacrifice that He made on the cross for us. I am thankful, humbled and in awe of the Lord.

Proclamation results in decisions

Our team went out evangelizing on Saturday. We shared with around 20 people and saw three of them get saved. On Sunday morning, one of the men that we had witnessed to came for church and trusted in Christ during the church service.
  • Pray for continued growth in the lives of these who have chosen to trust in Christ.

Bittersweet moments in Zambia

6 salvation decisions! The Nehemiah Team did a great job sharing the gospel and fielding questions from our group of 15 youth at Maheba Refugee Settlement. It was a bittersweet moment for them to lead 6 to salvation on their last visit to Maheba.
  • Pray for IMB team member Abby as she continues to disciple these youth.

Lottie Moon Christmas Offering: Day 7

Keeping the Well from Running Dry

At the end of a beaten-up road in Tanzania, a small hospital occasionally gets as full as it can get, and then runs on empty. In the past, it’s had moments where sick children slept two or three to a bed. It’s had moments where anesthetic drugs for C-sections and suture materials for surgery have run out.

But the situation has never stayed that way for long, reported Larry Pepper, an IMB doctor. Over and over, churches have stepped up to cover the hospital’s needs, all the way from wheelchairs to building a new pediatric wing. More...

Lottie Moon Christmas Offering: Day 1

The Pepper Family

Larry Pepper was on a trajectory. He was a NASA flight surgeon who was good at his job, active in his church, involved as a dad—and possibly headed for space. It wouldn’t be long before he ended up as a candidate finalist for a space mission. But God interrupted his plans. As Larry thought more and more about his life and its eternal significance, he felt God saying, “You’ve committed everything to me except your job.” It soon became evident God was drawing him to walk away.

Team of the Week: English in Africa (New Team!)

Are you looking a way to immediately gain access into the hearts of people who don't have access to the Good News? People all over the globe are increasingly fascinated with American culture & the English language. Come teach ESL in West Africa.

Students will be involved in ministry based out of the Grand Yoff Baptist Center in Dakar, Senegal. The center is located in one of the poorest and most densely populated neighborhoods in the city. Ministry will be multi-dimensional. Student volunteers will spend time at the center connecting with students who are learning language at our ESL center. Responsibilities include teaching English classes, leading conversation sessions, organizing fun activities for socialization and interaction, and building relationships with students. Volunteers will also be expected to spend time in the community of Grand Yoff. They will explore strategies in story-telling and evangelism, visit in homes, and build relationships with the community. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to learn basics in the local language and implement that in ministry and relationship building. There will also be room to utilize special gifts and talents of student volunteers as means for effective ministry.
