A Bible Received

Thank you Jesus for the encounters and conversation made and relationships built!! Last week NT4Teens partnered with a local church to share the Gospel in an area where a new church was being started.

Two of the team members were invited into the home of two sisters. The Teens shared the gospel and talk with the sisters. The conversations moved from lots of different topics but one thing remained the same, Christ was moving the hearts of two sisters. A Teen team member asked if they had a Bible. The only Bible that they had a was a tattered, cover ripped, catholic Bible. After seeing this they felt led to give them a Bible so that the sisters could read the Truth for themselves. Overjoyed with happy tears and gratitude, the two sisters received the Bible and hugged the Teens team members.

Thank you Jesus for the encounters, boldness and kindness we received from the local villagers!

Please pray for those seeking to start a church in this village. Pray for the seeds planted to be watered & bring forth a harvest.

Building A Pathway

The week has been very fruitful as NT4Teens spent time building a pathway for the Mindanao Baptist Rural Life Center in the Southern Philippines. With the help of national partners, the Teens built 60 meters of concrete pathway, mixing bags of rock, cement, and dirt, pouring concrete down and learning the importance of serving others well. The weather has been unpredictable and they’ve been able to work through rain and shine... all with glad and helpful hearts!! We’re looking forward to a very eventful weekend as the NT teens prepare for sports camp and the last week here in the Philippines!!

A Sunday to Remember

Thank you Jesus for Sunday!! In the Philippines, Sundays look a little different from what you’re probably used to at your church.

NT4Teens attended a church service in a local village where they were able to share testimonies, perform dramas, and worship in Cebuano!!

After service the Teens participated in a children’s outreach ministry, where they sang sons, played games and shared Bible stories! Thank you Jesus for Sunday!!

NT4Teens SBYO Youth Camps

NT4Teens kicked off their first week in the Philippines joining a Christian youth camp sponsored by a local Baptist association. With over a 150 students joining from several churches, NT4Teens had the opportunity to fellowship with students their age, learn more about the Filipino culture, and grow spiritually as their learning about Christ's love for all people!

One of the favorite days at camp was extreme games, where they completed 6 obstacles, getting to do fun activities such as; crawling through mud, building team pyramids, and hiking down cliff side canyons!!!

NT4Teens: Meet the Team

The beautiful Philippine islands with their hospitable people are common tourist destinations, but few are going there to share the gospel. Some on these islands are religious but are still not sure of their salvation.

As a team, you will work together on various construction/farm projects at the Mindanao Baptist Rural Life Center while you learn the history of how God has used this research farm to impact over 90 nations around the world.

Spend time in local villages, learning about culture while sharing your lives & the Gospel through drama, music & kids classes. You might also get your hands dirty while helping on a local farm! Spend your day off visiting a local beach or swimming in a natural cold spring.

The Philippines is still a harvest field so come help us harvest in these areas. The Philippines is also becoming a harvest force. Through your ministry, you will help encourage the local churches in making disciples and becoming better senders.

For each project, students & leaders will be divided into separate ministry teams of 4-5. For each group of 5 students (ages 14-17), there will be at least 1 adult leader (21 years or older). Adults leaders may be from the student's church or they may be recruited from former Nehemiah Teams participants.

NT4Teens: Meet the Leaders

I'm Hannah... 26 years old & from small town Alabama. About 4 years ago, I graduated from Samford University & I knew the Lord was calling me to the international mission field. After much prayer, I began the IMB Journeyman program where I served for the last 2 years in Europe. A few months after returning home, I received an email to pray about helping lead this team. Every time I began to pray, all I could hear was "go"... so here I am!

Hi, I'm Darla-Ray! I had the privilege of serving with Nehemiah Teams in their gap year program 2022-23 after I graduated high school. I've been to the exact place in the Philippines where the team is serving. During the gap year, I felt the call to the nations. I'm 22 and from Haughton, Louisiana.  I currently live in New Orleans, studying Intercultural Studies at Leavell College.

Joy in daily life

After being on Camiguin I've learned a lot from the people that live here. They are so full of joy and are very welcoming. Just how they live here makes me want to take what I have learned and apply it in my workplace and at church...and just apply it every aspect of life."

Jesus Loves the Little Children

My favorite moments have been our kids classes that we did the first few days. We were able to interact with the kids, play games, and teach them Bible stories about how Jesus loves them.
Pray for the Gospel seeds that have been planted in the hearts of these children.

Bold Faith

Sharing the Gospel in local schools

While on Camiguin Island [God] has shown me the importance of being bold in my faith. Not being afraid to put myself out there.

God opens the doors

I have never done door-to-door evangelism & sharing the Gospel with a stranger was a scary thought! But here i've learned how willing people are to listen. God opens doors & softens hearts when He calls us to minister to others. So... just live boldly in your faith.

Meet the Team: NT 4 Teens

The first Nehemiah Teams 4 Teens was sent to Camiguin Island in the Philippines for a two-week trip. The team went door-to-door, sharing the Gospel & leading home Bible studies, and sharing with children using healthcare & Bible stories in the several villages. They were also invited in the local schools to share the Good News with the students of all grade levels from 1st to 12th grade.
