Island Hoppers

Our team has gone to 6 different islands so far, staying with people & going out to have conversations. We've gotten to share the full gospel with about 175 people with 8 making professions of faith. This has been super encouraging! We're excited to see what God does with the rest of this summer for all of us!!

Teams arriving at their final destinations....

International travel these days is getting back to normal.... but there are still unexpected hiccups along the way. We are so thankful that all the teams have arrived at their final destinations. The longest travel time was 52 hours from the time the team left Mentone, Alabama until they arrived at their final destination. 

Please continue to pray for teams as they get settled, have some local orientation & get into their daily routines.

Job description: These islands have limited or no Christian witness. They are close enough to a larger city to make it accessible, but still relatively untouched. The team will travel by motorcycle taxi and meet lots of friendly people. There are beautiful waterfalls, beaches, and jungles to explore, as well as the chance to share the gospel with those that have never heard, using a translator, as well as audio and written materials. Come make a difference in these beautiful places!

May 30  Team leader training begins (Nehemiah Teams Training Center, Mentone, AL)
June 2  Team member training begins (Alabama)
June 7  Teams deploy for the field (via ATL)
July 29  Teams return to the US for debrief (Alabama)
August 1  Teams return home

COVID-19 in 2022
We continue to move forward in planning for summer 2022 teams. Decisions will be made by April 5, 2022 as to whether certain teams may need to be cancelled due to travel restrictions or local situations. Info will be posted on the website if teams are cancelled.
