Nehemiah Teams 2019: Orientation

Who? 180 students going to 18 countries
When? Leader orientation from May 27-30. Member orientation from May 30-June 2
Where? Nehemiah Teams Training Center in Mentone, Alabama
Why? The unreached are waiting for an opportunity to hear the Gospel.

After 3 days of team leader training, Thursday, May 30th arrived and 180 total students went full-steam ahead with training. Days were filled with security training, team building, evangelism training, worship, and culture & language learning. Training sessions were led by a volunteer staff of current/former IMB missionaries, nationals, former Nehemiah Team members & local ministry partners.

Local churches provided meals, housing for staff, and transportation to the Atlanta airport. We are so thankful for the partnership of so many churches in the surrounding area.

We opened the "doors" to the community for the Sunday night service, with many from area churches and parents joining us for worship.

As training finished up Monday afternoon, the students heard a final challenge during the evening worship service. Team leaders led their teams in a time of commitment to the task in front of them as they finished the night. Then it was time to get packed up & begin their trek to their final destination.
