Filipino Nehemiah Teams: Leyte-Samar

As we prepare and pray for upcoming Nehemiah Teams for this Summer 2015, let us not forget the work God is doing through the Filipino branch of Nehemiah Teams. This upcoming month of April is an exciting time because almost 200 young Filipino believers will follow Christ into the great unknown to share his message of love to those who do not know Him.  I have recently been encouraged by the willingness for Filipino believers to follow Christ in sharing the gospel with their own people, many times facing financial burden, leaving family and friends, and experiencing language barriers by going to areas with which they are not familiar. 

Four/five teams will be going to the area of Eastern Samar to minister to the Waray people, who until recent years, have had little to no evangelical believers or churches. Though we are thankful for the work The Lord has done in the hearts of these people, we are continuing to ask in faith for more  Waray people to come to know him!

Pray for:

* the Waray people who will soon be hearing the message of the gospel for the first time, that they would have open hearts ready to accept

* for those going to be able to raise financial support for living expenses on Eastern Samar

* for travel safety to and from the ministry sites

* for many opportunities to share and lead Bible studies while they are on the field

* these teams as they go out, that they would grow in their walk with The Lord and be bold witnesses for Christ
