Please continue to pray for safety as some teams may still be en route to their final destinations. As teams arrive, pray for quick acclimation to the culture and customs. May they seek to have their needs met in Christ alone. Pray for open hearts of the lost to receive the Gospel message.

Travel Mercies

Team members began their travel to their respective ministry locations in the past 24 hours and many will be traveling for the next day or so before they reach their final destination. Please pray for their safety as they maneuver through unfamiliar places and unfamiliar situations. Please pray for strength and grace on the journey and for opportunities to share the love of God as they travel.

It was the Lord our God Himself who brought us... He protected us on our entire journey and among all the nations through which we traveled. Joshua 24:17

Team Members Needed: UPG Awesome Adventure

Description: North Borneo is a land of much variety. This unreached people group has very little access to the Gospel. Your main focus will be teaching ESL in the larger city. Building opportunities to share the Gospel with those with a desire to learn English. You have something they WANT: English. You also have something they NEED: Jesus. Boldness, wisdom, and sensitivity to the Spirit will be needed as you share your faith.

Your first stop will be a joint orientation with other Nehemiah Teams. Learning the skills needed to carry out your assignment as well as team building will fill these first few days. Your team will then fly to your final destination for the summer. Following your ministry time you will return to the US for a joint debrief... sharing all God has done over the summer. Attendance at orientation & debrief is a requirement for all Nehemiah Teams.

Team Members Needed: Family Camp

Description: In partnership with the local Baptist convention, work in various internally displaced people camps. Provide ministry to families with emphasis on children but also including the parents. Using your skills/training in education, social work, sports & recreation to provide a time of fun for these families.

Your first stop will be a joint orientation with other Nehemiah Teams. Learning the skills needed to carry out your assignment as well as team building will fill these first few days. Your team will then fly to your final destination for the summer. Following your ministry time you will return to the US for a joint debrief... sharing all God has done over the summer. Attendance at orientation & debrief is a requirement for all Nehemiah Teams.

Team Members Needed: Bicol Media

Description: In partnership with the Teach, Hoops & Heal teams, spend your summer sharing what God is doing through their daily ministries. You'll travel between the teams, sharing their daily lives & stories through blog posts & capturing media clips. You'll also be involved in evangelism... always ready to share THE story with someone who hasn't heard. Help your field supervisor by creating media pieces to be used in telling the story of what God is doing in the Bicol region. Tasks may include taking pictures & video, webpage updating & writing short articles.

Your first stop will be a joint orientation with other Nehemiah Teams. Learning the skills needed to carry out your assignment as well as team building will fill these first few days. Your team will then fly to your final destination for the summer. Following your ministry time you will return to the US for a joint debrief... sharing all God has done over the summer. Attendance at orientation & debrief is a requirement for all Nehemiah Teams.
