Still...

It’s crazy to think that I only have three weeks left here. I feel like I’m just now getting adjusted to the culture, kinda the language, and the people. I was thinking about how little time I had left, and I began to think about the rest of my life. I’m not sure where the Father is leading me, but I know that I’m open to His guidance. After all, how can I sit on the sidelines. Why not me?

An Encouraging Day!

Today was amazing! We met so many new friends that we were able to share the Good News with! We had a conversation with a cousin on the beach & were able to share with him. We then met two guys who were going to worship, and they invited us over for dinner. Later today, we met two cousin girls at a Mosque. We were able to ask them questions about their culture and learn more about them. We were able to share with them as well. They knew all about the Father, and what He did for us. They have friends who have been telling them about our Father! We then met two girls who we later meet up with at the beach. Overall, today was such an encouragement.

Please pray for these we had Gospel conversations with.
Pray that the seeds of faith will continue to grow in their lives.

Majesty

What a super cool week it’s been! We were back in the city for the week before we head out on the road for the remainder of our summer.

This week we spent a lot of our time at English Club in the city. We were able to hangout and participate in English club on Monday night, and then on Tuesday night we were able to teach on the topic of honesty! English Club was so much fun! The students spoke varying degrees of English, but the thing that made it so great was the fact that they all truly wanted to learn English. On Thursday night we were able to help with the Intermediate English Club. These students had more advanced English, so we were able to have more in-depth conversations with them.

This weekend we did some tourist things! We went to a traditional market and on Saturday, we hiked down to the base of a massive waterfall! This waterfall inspired the title of this week’s update. At the base, I couldn’t help but stand in amazement and wonder of how Grand our Father is. The roar of the water and the drenching spray reminded me of the power of Father, so much so that it demands all to pay attention. The Father showed me just how much power He holds.

Saturday afternoon, we went to a flower garden where we were able to see the active volcanoes that surround the area. *One of these volcanoes actually erupted about two weeks ago and displaced a village. Please ask the Father for peace for these people as they had a relocate to a new village.*

On Sunday, after gathering, some of our group hiked a volcano, and some of us stayed in a coffeeshop to rest and do some reading.

We’re now back in the city for a couple of days to finish up visa stuff and make final preparations for our trip. I’m so excited for our trip! We’re going to be on a new island and traveling somewhere new every few days, depending on how the Father leads. This trip is very much a trip that will be based on the leading of the Father, and I could not be more excited to grow even more in flexibility. Pray that we will be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
