Last week, we met many new
people that were more than willing to interact with us and talk to us with
anything. We were able to teach English 3 times. In 2 of those times we were
able to share stories from the Book. It was amazing to see stories we take for
granted, like the story of Jonah, and then only have 5 of 40 people having ever
heard that story before. I have yet to sit down and talk to someone who I was
not able to talk about Him and that was the first time they had ever heard that
story before.
On Friday, we moved to a different city. That was hard to
just move and leave all of those friendships behind. We met up with 6 other
people from Texas who have been here as many as six times. With their help, we
have been able to do an English workshop at one of the colleges. Through this,
we have been able to meet many people. Through those relationships, we have
been able to share the story several times.
The three guys that we have gotten
to know the best are V, E, and B. They are all very nice and are more than
willing to listen to everything we have to say. I was able to talk to E for
over an hour yesterday about everything and everything. He wants to learn more.
V wants to study the book and learn for himself what it says. B was the first
guy I met when I got here and he is interested in hearing the stories from the
book. So with all those people wanting to meet up and learn more and several
more that I didn't mention, we are very tired. So remember those friendships
but also the energy for our team.
With love and faith,
T
