Glory to God

Hey guys! Sorry it has been so long since our last post. These past few weeks have been great, but also very busy. We have had two more  people come to know Christ since the last time we've posted. God has been working here and we are blessed to be able to be apart of what he is doing.

This is our last week and we are sad to go, but we are excited to see what God has in store for us when we go home.

Please continue to pray for us throughout this week that God would continue to open the hearts of those around us and that our friends we have made would come to know and love him. We love each and every person here and we are excited to see what God does in the lives of His knew followers.

God gets all the glory and thank you guys for keeping up with us this summer.

Spiritual Growth

O God, You are my God, earnestly I seek You; my soul thirsts for You, my body longs for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.  Psalm 63:1

Pray God would give team members an overwhelming desire for Him alone. Pray they would recognize their need and seek to fill this need with God alone. Pray for spiritual growth in their lives.

They're Impressive!

Praise the Lord for our student volunteers and how He has gifted them to meet N.Thai people and introduce them to Jesus Christ! They befriend folks on the street, at restaurants and coffee shops, at the sports complex and badminton courts, singing at the market, and while helping Thais with their English conversation. They are invited into homes and on day trips. They share their food and drink. They follow-up with all their new friends. They are faithful to pray for salvation and spiritual growth. They’re impressive!

God's Blessings

This week has truly been a blessing to the Northern Thai Team. We have had the opportunity to go and share God's word with several people that we've come in contact with.
One cool thing that happened was that we were able to perform at the weekend market. God provided everything. The store keeper let Ty use his guitar and gave us everything we needed to make sure that we would be heard. Ty did an amazing job leading worship that night. The owner of the store enjoyed us being there and singing and has asked us to come back this weekend and sing again. We handed out free waters and will also be doing that again this weekend.
Our good friend Pon has also asked to spend more time with us this week. Every opportunity we get to spend time with her, we are able to share the gospel with her. The great thing about this is that she might not have questions right then, but she goes home and thinks about what we said to her and she asks questions the next time we see her.

Another blessing that God has given us this week is our good friend Gang. He asked if he could go to church with us Sunday morning. Uhh... of course! He enjoyed it. He even got up to worship and sing with us in front of the church.

Each one of these events this week has been a great encouragement for us. Please keep us and the Thai people in your prayers. Pray that God would continue to open their hearts to him and that they would be open to listening.

Jesus Saves!

This week the friends that the boys have have been hanging out with asked us all to go to the waterfall with them. While we were there, the boys were able to go through Creation to Christ (C2C)  with them. They had questions and the boys did a great job answering them.

Keep the boys in your prayers and their friends as well.

The great news for this week is that our friend Gang accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. It was an amazing moment that I am so thankful that I got to be apart of. Please continue to pray for him and that The Lord would continue to grow him and send up praises for adding to our family a new brother in Christ.

Thai Witness

Som Chai is one of our Christian Thai friends. He walks with us around his neighborhood to meet and talk with people. It is good for the Thai people to actually meet a Thai Christian because then they see that it is okay to be a Christian and that it isn't just a cultural thing. Many Thai won't become Christians because they are afraid of what their families will think. For them to meet a Thai Christian is a huge step.

Please pray for our team and that we would continue to meet with the Thai people and grow our relationships with them.
Pray that God would open their hearts to the love that he has poured out for us.

Pon means blessing

This week we have been able to go around and meet new people. One of the ladies we met was Pon. She owns her own shop where she sells food. The good thing that we found out is that she speaks English. The reason she is able to speak English so well is because she studied as a teacher and eventually ended up being a tour guide.

We asked her if she could teach us how to speak Thai. She told us that she would if we would help her to better her English. We have been able to share the gospel with her twice. She has asked to spend more time with us and if she could show us around. Our team would love it if you would please pray for Pon and that God would just open her heart to the gospel.

God Provides Friends

The Northern Thai Team has had the opportunity to go and worship at a church with other Thai Christians. Krissy was able to share her testimony with them and they really enjoyed that. After that we got to work with their Sunday school kids and play games with them and teach them some English. We had some friends come over on Tuesday so that they could work on their English so that we could build friendships with them. We have had the opportunity to make friends and share the gospel with several people this week. We are going to spend some more time with some of those friends next week. We ask that you would pray for God to just keep their hearts open to the gospel and that He would just give us the words to speak when the opportunity to speak the gospel presents itself.

We had an amazing time worshipping with at the Thai church. God gave us this opportunity almost immediately. The Thai people loved having us there with them. The man in the second picture is Uncle Sam, he is the pastor at the church we attended, which is also held in his home.

This is "Think" and "Sooki." They came over on Tuesday for their English class. We played Scatagories with them so that they could work on learning more English words.

We enjoyed teaching English to our friends and we are so thankful that God is allowing us to build friendships with them as well as grow closer to him.

We made it!

We finally made it and got to spend some time with our M's! We had some time to get to know them and learn a little about the culture here and some of the things that we would be doing this summer. Our team will be evangelizing in our town. We are all very excited about what The Lord is going to do with us this summer. He has already been working around us and has been showing us ways for us to present the gospel to those around us. We are all so thankful for all of the prayers going up back home. Please continue to pray that God would continue to send people our way and we can continue making friends with the Thai people.
