Pray for open hearts

After joining this team I met a lot of people who are able to listen to the gospel. The team is so thankful because after a week we build good relationships with the people of the area. Some people here are saying that they grew up with their religion so they will die with that religion.  (Acts 28:26-28) 

Include this in your prayer that the people here in our area will open their heart to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior.

Do not worship idols

"Do not worship idols!" This is what we often hear from one of the old ladies here in our area. She claimed to believe in Jesus but she also prays to Mary. She's blinded by the enemy and the tradition. Include her in your prayers that the Lord would open her eyes to the truth. Pray for the strongholds and bondages to be broken. 

Then the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed, and the ears of those who hear will listen.  -Isaiah 32:3

God is already working...

Our ministry for the summer has officially begun, but God has already been working here ahead of us. We have already had many opportunities to share the gospel and we look forward to many more. 
Pray that our team can view things from the eternal perspective and that Christ can be our focus. 
Pray that the Holy Spirit will work in these people so that the kingdom will be expanded.

First week: Teach, Heal & Hoops Team B

Our first week at our ministry site has been extremely eye opening. We have set up several daily/weekly Bible studies. Almost everyone we have met is very eager to learn more about God's Word. Please pray that the people will continue to be receptive as we try to make disciples.

Meet the team! We are Cody, RaeAnn, Sondra & Cody and our translators are Evelyn & Tim. We are Preach, Heal and Hoops Team B. We are from Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida, and Arkansas. We are serving in the Philippines this summer doing street ministry and helping at a local health care clinic. Please pray that God would move in this place!
