| This past week we got the opportunity to meet Cecil, a Filipino Nehemiah Teams worker. She is 29 years old and from Batangas City, Philippines. We had so much fun getting to know her and spending some time doing ministry with her. This past week, we went to a local hospital to pray with the patients & their families and share the gospel with them. It was such an awesome experience!!!! Overall, we got to share with about 30 different people! We have loved getting to talk with the people and share with them. I (Tonya) was able to share my testimony with about 10 people in a room, and I was nervous but it was so amazing to share with them! Filipinos are so friendly and so sweet. We also started Bible studies this week with the ladies that work at the children's home. We have had about 3-5 ladies each night and most of them are believers so we have been able to disciple them. We have been discussing repentance, forgiveness, and missions. Our prayer is that these ladies will begin to step up to be leaders and they will continue this study on their own once we are gone. We have also begun leading a Bible study with the older children in the home. We started doing that this week also and it was such a blessing! |
- Please pray for our hospital ministry, that the people will be responsive and that the Holy Spirit will move in their hearts.
- Also, please be in prayer for our Bible study with the staff here, as well as the kids Bible study!
