The healthcare team will
provide medical services for rural villages in Mindanao, but the basis of their work is evangelism and sharing the gospel in a personal way. The rural villages are always in need of medical attention, which the team will offer,
but the village people need hope in Christ who can transform lives for eternity. Team members are preparing their personal testimonies to share with Filipinos to open their eyes to the grace of God, the relationship we enjoy freely with God, and the abundance of life we are provided through Christ.
Introducing the Healthcare team for the Philippines for the summer of 2012:
Leaders: Greg, Mississippi College; Loren, Mississipi State University; Markie, Lander University; Cade, Tennessee Tech University.
Members: Kate, Tennessee Tech University; Lauren, Austin Peay State University; Nate, Anderson University; Ross, Mississippi State University; Kelsey, graduate of University of South Carolina Upstate; Molly, University of Southern Mississippi; Debra, University of Mobile; Amy, Mississippi State University; Rachel, graduate of Hardin-Simmons University; Kayla, Francis Marion University; Meagan, University of Memphis; Melissa, Liberty University.
Media: Trent, Auburn University.
As a team, we have connected from the moment we met. Personalities fit beautifully, openness and sharing hasn't been a problem, and a foundation in Christ has been laid. It's incredible how God answered prayers for this team and brought together 16 medical students, plust one media student, in a way that can't be stopped by Satan's forces. We are more than ready to board the plane and reach Mindanao. We wait in awe of what the Lord will do in us and through us.
Please offer a prayer of boldness and fearlessness for our team as we enter a new area of the world and need increased faith in the Lord. Please commit to praying for empowerment by the Holy Spirit.
