A man named, Boy

Last week we met a man named Boy in Kanluma, a 30 minute walk from Abante. We were staying in a run down house in Abante for four days.  It was not pleasant or joyful. We kept asking why we were only staying there for four days. What could we possibly do in that amount of time? Not to mention we had Bible studies set up back in our previous city, Tabuelan. So really we only spent two or three days in Abante. We went up to Kanluma to play basketball and afterward we shared our testimonies. That day we met Boy.
He told us that he has tuberculosis and that he prays to God to heal him from it. He told us there was no God because he was still sick. So we prayed for Boy and set up a Bible study for the next day. When we came back we shared Acts 16 with everybody.  The greatest question ever asked. What must I do to be saved? Boy seemed very interested and we talked and prayed with him after. We started to leave to go home and felt God tell us to go back. We went back to the house of Boy to meet his family. He lived with his mother and father. His father also had tuberculosis. None of them had ever seen a Bible before. We shared the Gospel with them and they all loved it. They repented and believed in Jesus Christ as their Savior.
We thought we were wasting our time in Abante; however, God had great plans for us. Boy and his whole family will now spend eternity in Heaven with God. We saw him at the market during fiesta and he seemed so happy to see us. It was amazing to see what God had done in his life in less than one week. Even in our weakness and pain God is still strong. Praise God.
