Gotta have FAITH!

FAITH:  Food Always In The Home... the gardening acronym of the BOOST (Baptist out of School Training). The healthcare teams took a crash course in FAITH gardening so that we can teach it to those in our villages. The idea is to teach people how to sustainably and organically grow food in their backyard that can help feed their families and save money. This kind of gardening is also taught to the BOOST students in their three-month training program. The garden is intended to be usable all year round by timing the planting for continued sustenance.

It's also another way we're serving the people here in the Philippines. Not only are we seeking to help them spiritually, but also physically.

This basket, made from strips of fresh bamboo, cradles manure and dirt.

A Faith garden made by Boost students. The Faith garden includes all kinds of plants such as beans, eggplant, squash, and more. By using crop rotation with legumes the soil stays nutrient rich for continued use.
