The praise of heaven

Our team has been here in beautiful Thailand for a few days. I took a two-day trip with a medical team from California to some of the hill tribe villages and to document their work.

In one village all the people had to tear their houses down and relocate because a minor earthquake had torn a rift right through their area. We helped them transport wood and did a mini medical clinic. It was amazing how joyful and lovely the people are despite their circumstances. Some of the houses were the size of my room in college. I gripe about not having enough space, and they rejoice because they simply have a place to live.

As the sun went down about thirty of us piled into a tiny, room-sized house and had a time of worship with the believers in the village. It was the most beautiful interaction. As our praises went up in all different languages, I felt so content and thankful to the Lord. We sang in seven languages all together, and I look back on it and think that is how heaven will be. From every nation and tongue, believers will gather and praise the Lord forever.
