Come all who are burdened

This summer we have the privilege of working with the Afghanistan Community.

Before this Afghan people where not on my radar, and I knew nothing about the Muslim religion.

We have immersed ourselves into the Afghan community, but before this I feared it. I feared it because of all the news, and what they would say about the people of this culture.

What the news doesn't tell you is how kind they are. How hospitable they are. How Jesus still loves them and yearns for them to love him.

This summer we have the privilege of working with this community, and of saying that we love the Afghan Community in the Bay Area because Jesus loves them.

Please pray that as these events happen pray for the Afghan Community. Pray that fear does not take over us, but that the Lord continues to break our heart for the kind people who choose to also find out who God is. If you know someone who is Afghan, pray for them. Their community is truly being affected with what is going on. Show them love, and not hatred. Lastly, lets continue to pray for peace of the families who have lost loved one.

Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28
